Privacy Policy
How PDF PLACE handles your documents and data.
Files are processed in your browser
Uploads, scans, image edits, OCR and PDF generation all run locally on your device. Your documents are not uploaded to a server to build a PDF.
Autosave and checkpoints
Recoverable checkpoints are stored in your browser's local storage. If you sign in, project names, page layouts and text content are also synced to your account so you can restore work on another device. Binary files (images and PDFs) are never synced — you re-upload them.
Share links
When you create a share link, the exported PDF is stored in a private bucket and served through a short-lived, token-checked link. Links expire on the schedule you choose and can be password protected. Each open, download and expiry event is recorded with a timestamp, IP address and browser user agent so you can audit access.
JARVIS assistant
Messages you send to JARVIS are forwarded to an AI provider to generate a reply, together with the platform help and ownership knowledge. Do not paste sensitive personal data into the assistant.
Accounts
If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication data to sign you in and to link your checkpoints and share links to you.
Your choices
You can clear local checkpoints from the recovery banner, delete cloud checkpoints from your project list, and revoke a share link by letting it expire or deleting the project. For account deletion, contact the platform owner.
